  • Daehan Polychem produces EPDM sponge by continuous extrusion without joints.

    Our product complies to several standards required in auto industry.

    Fabricating with this product is much more productive,  compared to block-type sponge.

    We can provide our customers the latest and the most advanced material of all time.

    1. Roll-type EPDM Sponge

    Since this roll-type product is extruded continuously without joints, size can be various making much less loss and saving freight/storaging costs. 

    2. Enhanced Blowing Efficiency

    Adoption of Infra-red automatic control system makes the product exposed to uniform level of the light located in blowing facility regardless of the material size or specific spot. DPC provides quality product with enhanced blowing efficiency making the sponge blowed unilaterally.

    3. Feedback to various size available, Flexible Production System  

    Multiple sizes are available based on our standard roll size, 20m (length) * 1050mm (width) * 30mm (thickness).

    4. Performance

    Harmess and Toxicity Test: RoHS 10 (6+4) & REACH SVHC the latest 205 items all, Not Detected (N.D.)

    Physical property and durability test: Elongation no less than 200%, and etc.

    Various product line-up available through crush, and process modulating process.

    Why Retread tire?

    1. You can save cost 30~50% compared to new tires.

    2. It is envirementally friendly and you can save 70 and 80% of pollution when disposing oil waste, and tire.

    3. Retread tire is safe and durable as any other newly manufactured ones.

    4. Retread tires can be droven for legally admitted speed as much as new ones in perspective of safety, driving alignment, and comfort.

    5. 90% of aircrafts including military jets such as C-5A Hercules use retread tires.

    6. 400 million gallons of fuel are saved every year in North America.

    How we recycle it?

    First, remove the worn tread rubber from the casing, cleanly mend the damaged portions, and treat heating cover with vulcanized rubber.



    Hot cap retreading involves the vulcanisation of a tire in a mold at high temperature

    First, uncured tread rubber is adhered. Second, heat is applied in the mold

    - Shape into a new tire based on your mold.


    Cold cap retreading involves the vulcanization of a tire without a mold by bonding pre-cured tread rubber onto the tire

    First, pre-cured tread is adhered. Second, heat is applied in chamber

    - Even wear and long mileage suitable for all road conditions

    1. Casing

    Renewable tire is collected after visual inspection.

    2. Casing Inspection

    Determine retreadability of used tire (casing) by manual, mechanical, and computer systems. A good casing is the most important foundation of retread tires.

    3. Buffing

    Remove the old tread from the casing. Sizes may vary per application or by customer’s need.

    4. Hot-Cap Building

    Apply new tread rubber to a buffed casing.

    5. Hot-Cap Curing

    Apply heat and pressure in a mold over a period of time to vulcanize rubber.

    6. Cold-Cap Building

    Apply pre-cured tread rubber to a buffed casing with cushion gum.

    7. Cold-Cap Curing

    Apply heat and pressure in a chamber over a period of time to vulcanize cushion gum placed between pre-cured tread rubber and casing.

    8. High Pressure Test

    'Finished' good refers to ones that passed the examiation without a problem.

    Tread Rubber

    Our treads are mixed with natural rubber and synthetic rubber.  The tread provides the new surface of the tires as it is attached to a buffered casing.  Daehan Polychem(DPC) treads are designed in consideration for rolling resistance, good traction in wet road conditions, and noise.  DPC also designs the treads in a wide range of patterns with various widths and lengths.  Our products are well known in South Korea for providing the highest quality at the best price.  Our products have been exported to the United States, Canada, Japan, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Chile, and New Zealand
